Opens April 2, 2010, at City Lit Theatre, 1020 West Bryn Mawr Avenue, Chicago, IL 60660-4627, Call (773) 293-3682 for tickets or go to: www.citylit.org to make your reservations now.

“On a quiet fall evening in the small, peaceful town of Santa Mira, California, Dr. Miles Bennell discovered an insidious, horrifying plot. Silently, subtly, almost imperceptibly, alien life-forms were taking over the bodies and minds of his neighbors, his friends, his family, the woman he loved — the world as he knew it.”

“The book, written by Jack Finney and first published in 1955, is a classic thriller of the ultimate alien invasion and the triumph of the human spirit over an invisible enemy that has inspired four major motion pictures.” And now… it has inspired the first full-length theatrical production, adapted and directed by two-time Jeff Award-winning adaptor: Paul Edwards.

Cast and Crew:

Brian Pastor as Dr. Miles Bennell, Sheila Willis as Becky Driscoll, Thad Anzur as Jack Belicec, Shawna Tucker as Theodora Belicec, June Eubanks as Professor Budlong and Mrs. Seeley, Jerry Bloom as Dr. Manny Kaufman, Susie Griffith as Wilma, Kingsley Day as Uncle Ira, and Andrew Jorczak as Officer Grivett. Sarah Hay, Stage Manager, Jessica Saltiel Asst. Dir., Roger Wykes, Set Design, Ricky Lurie Costume Design, Jeff Glass, Lights, and Daniel Carlyon co-assisting Paul Edwards with the A/V Design.

Come out for a night of Science-Fiction Theatre that is sure to raise those little hairs on the back of your neck!

For a peek into the fun… check out these trailers from the original movie!
